Agostino Gemelli’s Tomb

Agostino Gemelli was the founder of the Sacro Cuore Catholic University in Milan. His grave is preserved in the crypt of the same university near Ludovico Necchi’s tomb, one of his main collaborators.

The Italian inscription reads as follows: “PADRE AGOSTINO GEMELLI / FRANCESCANO / NATO A MILANO IL 18 GENNAIO 1878 / MORTO A MILANO IL 15 LUGLIO 1959 / PREGATE PER L’ANIMA SUA”
