A commemorative plaque located in the Facultade de Medicina e Odontoloxía of the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela pays tribute to the doctor, professor, and anatomist Ángel Jorge Echeverri who taught Descriptive and Topographic Anatomy and Anatomical Technique at the University and, after his retirement, History of Medicine.1
The work, created by the sculptor Manuel Castelo, consists of a black marble base superimposed on a granite bas-relief. At the center, the bust of Echeverri is depicted, and on both sides there are two seated figures symbolizing apprentices attentively listening to their teacher. On the right-hand side, the following inscription can be read:
AL / PROFESOR / ECHEVERRI / SUS / COLABORADORES / Y / DISCÍPULOS / 1974
To / professor / Echeverri / his / collaborators / and / disciples / 1974
