Domenico Ridola’s Home

Domenico Ridola‘s home is located in Matera (Via Duomo, 7). Domenico Ridola lived in this building until his death. He was a prominent Italian physician and archaeologist, but also a politician with remarkable farsightedness. He took an active part in Matera’s political life; in fact he became the mayor, paying particular attention in enhancing his city’s research and innovation capacity.
The house is now a branch of the Conservatorio Statale di Musica E.R. Duni of Matera.
