Elie Metchnikoff Monument and Memorial Tablet

A big bronze head and a microscope on a marble column – with a white marble memorial tablet – remember Élie Metchnikoff near the entrance to the building of the Institut Pasteur in Paris which is named after him. Metchnikoff worked at the Institut Pasteur for 28 years, since its very opening in 1888.
