In the garden in front of the entrance to the museum of The Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh stands this sculpture made by Denys Mitchell in 1994.
The inscription on the plaque below the sculpture reads: “THIS SCULPTURE BY / MR DENYS MITCHELL / WAS UNVEILED BY / THE RIGHT HONOURABLE / NORMAN IRONS / LORD PROVOST OF EDINBURGH / ON 6 DECEMBER 1994”.
