Giovan Battista Monteggia was born in this house of Laveno (via Professor Monteggia, 15). Two memorial tablets recall the illustrious inhabitant. The newer one was unveiled by the Municipality in 1962, with the occasion of the bicentennial of Monteggia’s birth.
