Giovanni Presta was born in this house, placed in the old city center of Gallipoli (on the corner of Via Garibaldi 29 and Via G. Presta), on June 24th 1720 and he died in the same house on August seventy-seven years later. Today the house of the physician Presta retains all its old-fashioned charm but at the same time it hosts a modern hotel.
