Istituto Antimalarico Pontino

The Istituto Antimalarico Pontino is the oldest extant building of Latina (via Urbano Rattazzi, 1)1. It was built in the early 1920s – about ten years before the foundation of the town of Littoria/Latina – in order to provide anti malarial prophylaxis and general health care to the workers involved in the reclamation of the Pontine Marshes and to the local rural population. The building now hosts the Casa dell’Architettura and the Istituto di Cultura Urbana.
