As remembered by a small plaque, Jessie White Mario and her husband, Alberto Mario, lived in this house on the hill of Bellosguardo, in Florence, in the 1860s. They also hosted here Giuseppe Garibaldi. It is worth noticing that in the memorial tablet placed in 1885, only the two men’s names are mentioned.
