Luigi Calori’s Bust and Skulls Collection

Along the entrance corridor of the Institute of Human Anatomy of the University of Bologna, in the central Via Irnerio, N.48, Bologna, a marble bust of the anatomist Luigi Calori can be seen, alongside the glass cabinets containing his collection of over two thousand human skulls1.
