Marco Aurelio Severino spent his youth (1580 to 1603) in this house of Tarsia (Largo Santo Stefano). After that period he went to Naples to begin his medical studies. The house shows some elements which recall ancient Greek art. Nowadays, it is the headquarters of “Marco Aurelio Severino Foundation“, whose task is making reknowned the name of this great surgeon.
