Phrenological Head Model

This phrenological head can be seen in the Warren Anatomical Museum in Boston. It shows the areas responsible for certain characteristics and personality traits according to the theories of Johann Gaspar Spurzheim and ‎Franz Joseph Gall. Phrenologists believed that all manner of behaviour were discovered by careful reading of a subject’s head shape.1
