Saint Cosmas and Damian’s Skulls

According to an ancient tradition, the skulls of Saints Cosmas and Damian, beheaded under the persecution of Diocletian, are preserved in a 15th century golden reliquary in the Jesuit church of Saint Michael in Munich (Neuhauser Strasse, 6). Once a month, the reliquary is opened and the relics are offered to the devotion of the public.
