In last years of his life, Alessandro Volta spent much time in this country house in Camnago, near Como (via Campora, 1). Volta actually died in this house on March 5, 1827. Villa Volta is now a private house, not easy to visit, and only a marble tablet on the perimeter wall remembers his distinguished host.
