This memorial tablet, located in Lovere (via Cavallotti), commemorates the Birthplace of saint Vincenza Gerosa. She founded the “Ospedale per Infermi Cronici e Miserabili” in Lovere with Bartolomea Capitanio in 1826.
Vincenza Gerosa1 was blessed in 1933 whereas Bartolomea Capitanio in 1926. They were recognised as saints in 1950.
The currently operating hospital “SS. Capitanio e Gerosa” in Lovere is entitled to the two saints.
The memorial tablet was collocated the 26th July 1936 as it can be seen in the following picture.
