Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen’s Plate

This commemorative plate of Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen can be seen in the Rontgen-Gedächtnisstätte, in Würzburg.

On the 10th anniversary of the discovery of X-rays, this plaque was a surprise for Röntgen’s 60th birthday. Some 300 people donated to the construction of the plaque and subsequent installation at the physics institute.1
