This magnificent silver cup, made by silversmith Paul Storr, can be seen – with other memorabilia – in a showcase of St Bartholomew’s Hospital Museum in London. It was presented to John Abernethy by his pupils of 1812-13 ‘as a testimony for their respect and gratitude’1.
