Chinese Diagnostic Dolls

These ivory Chinese diagnostic dolls date back to 18th-early 19th century and are displayed in the Medicine Man exhibition gallery of The Wellcome Building, in London. Diagnostic dolls were given by chinese physicians to female patients in order they could indicate a sore point without discovering their own body.
