This bronze monument of Portuguese physician Francisco Sanches can be seen in Braga (Largo São João do Souto), near the church where Sanches was baptized in 1551. The monument dates back to 1954 and is a work by Portuguese sculptor Salvador Barata Feyo (1899-1990). Sanches is represented holding a book in his right hand.
