Gino Iannelli is buried in the family chapel in the cemetery of Cetraro (Corso S.Benedetto).
The surgeon died on October 15th, 1948, and there were a lot of people at his funeral to remember his life and his goodness as evidenced by some photos taken on that day.1
The Italian inscription on his tombstone reads as follows: “GINO IANNELLI / EBBE ORGOGLIO DI ESSERE / CRISTIANO ITALIANO CHIRURGO / FACENDO / DELLA FEDE LUCE-DELLA PATRIA MILIZIA-DELLA SCIENZA MISSIONE / PER CONQUISTARE / A SE’ LA GIOIA SUBLIME DEL DARE / 9-07-1898 15-10-1948”.
