This marble bust of Giovanni Battista De Marcolis Pajola can be seen in the Sala dell’Albergo of the Scuola Grande di San Marco in Venice.
A Latin inscription on the bronze plate reads as follows: “N.V. / JO. BAPT. DE MARCOLIS-PAJOLA / CHIRURG. ET MED. DOCTORI / SCIENTIA PIETATE LIBERALITATE / IN PAUPERES CLARISSIMO / PARONA ATHESIS IX VIII MDCCLXIX – VENETIIS XXVIII VIII MDCCCXXXIX”.
