This is the house, in Bovalino (Dromo II, 67), where Giovanni Ruffo was born on the 13th of December, 1926. He lived there until he left his home to study Medicine and Surgery at the University of Pavia.
«It smells of orange blossoms in the air in April, when I go to Ruffo’s home, on Dromo, the ancient street which retains the greek name […]. Smacks of old even “Villa Ruffo”: a large gate opens on a staircase, on top of which there is the main entrance; all around the garden, limited by a stone fence and by artistic craft railings, made by “Gianni”, the great medical specialist.»1.
