This marble tablet, unveiled in 1965, celebrates the centennial of the demonstration by Jean Antoine Villemin of the infectious nature of tuberculosis. The tablet can be seen, next to Villemin’s bust, in the courtyard next to the entrance to the Military Health School in the Hôpital d’instruction des armées du Val-de-Grâce in Paris (Place Alphonse Laveran), where the discovery took place.
