This marble bust of Joseph von Quarin was created by sculptor Johann Martin Fischer (1740-1820) in 1802 for the meeting room of the medical faculty. It was located in the rectorate room in 1888 and then moved in 1889 among the medical monuments that can be found in the arcaded courtyard of the University of Vienna (Universitätsring, 1).
