This is Wentworth Place, the house in Hampstead area of London (10 Keats Grove) where John Keats lived from December 1818 until September 1820, when he left for his last travel to Rome. The house “was built between 1814 and 1816 and was one of the first houses to be built in this part of Hampstead. It was designed to look like one villa, but inside was divided into two homes”1.

Keats joined his friend Charles Brown to live in the left part of the house. In April 1819 the Brawne family moved into the other part. After a while, John Keats fell in love with Fanny Brawne.
Keats’s Parlour “has been carefully recreated from the portrait hanging on the wall”2
Keats’s bedroom is where, in February 1820, he first realised that “he was suffering the symptoms of consumption”3.
