This 20th century oil-on-canvas painting, representing an early modern Anatomy lesson, can be seen in the Museo di Storia della Medicina (ex-votos room) of La Sapienza University in Rome. It was painted by Adalberto Pazzini, founder of the museum, who portrayed himself (bottom-right) in anachronistic clothes and with his handbook of history of medicine nearby.
