This marble bust of Moritz Kaposi was created by sculptor Johannes Benk (1844-1914) in 1900. Martha Kaposi, the widow, in 1908 wanted it to be exhibited among the medical monuments that can be found in the arcaded courtyard of the University of Vienna (Universitätsring, 1).
