Hippocrates as a Teacher Monument

This bronze statue of Hippocrates as a teacher was unveiled in October 2023 in his homeland Kos (Akti Kountouriotou), near the seaport and the famous plane tree under which, according to a tradition, he used to teach the art of medicine to his students.

It is a work of Greek sculptor Giorgos Kikotis and was financed by US Dimitris Tassios, of Kosic origin1.
