This funeral monument – the marble bust and the funeral inscription – of Luigi Giuntini can be seen inside the Ospedale di Santa Maria Nuova in Florence. I’m not sure if it contains Giuntini’s remains because you can read on the bottom of the funeral tablet that it was moved here from its original location on April 16, 1873, fifty years after the anatomist’s death.
