This bronze statue of Francesco Durante can be seen in “Piazza Durante” in Letojanni (Messina). It’s a work of Ettore Ximenes, a sculptor from Palermo who was a friend of Durante himself. The statue was unveiled in May 1923 during a solemn cerimony in honour of Durante. Francesco Durante’s home is found in the same place.
