Domenico Cirillo’s Birthplace

Domenico Cirillo was born on April 10th, 1739, in this ancient palace in Grumo Nevano (via Armando Diaz, 12). Two hundred years after his death a marble memorial plate was affixed on the exterior wall of this palace.

The italian inscription reads as follows: “IN QUESTA CASA NACQUE IL 10.4.1739 / DOMENICO CIRILLO / MEDICO SCIENZIATO / MARTIRE DELLA REPUBBLICA / NAPOLETANA DEL 1799 / IL COMUNE NEL BICENTENARIO / DELLA MORTE / GRUMO NEVANO 29 OTTOBRE 1999”.
