One of the Medical monuments and memories in the University central seat, in Pavia, is the marble memorial tablet to the memory of Luigi Devoto, founder of occupational medicine. It can be found at the first floor of the Cortile delle Statue.
The italian inscription reads as follows: “L’8 NOVEMBRE 1901 / LUIGI DEVOTO / PRIMO NEL MONDO DAVA INIZIO / IN QUESTO ATENEO / ALL’INSEGNAMENTO UFFICIALE / DELLA / MEDICINA DEL LAVORO. / 8 NOVEMBRE 1971”.
