Italian naturalist and physician Antonio Vallisneri lived in this simple house in the main square of Scandiano, Province of Reggio Emilia, just in front of the Lazzaro Spallanzani’s monument.
On the facade of the house a little memorial tablet remembers in italian: “IN QUESTA CASA / VISSE / ANTONIO VALLISNERI / < SENIOR 1661 – 1730 > / MEDICO NATURALISTA INSIGNE / CHE ONORO’ LA SCIENZA E L’ITALIA”.
