Peter of Spain’s Portraits

There are two Peter of Spain‘s portraits in Viterbo: the former, with Peter’s papal seal, is situated in the conclave room of the beautiful Papal Palace, near St. Lawrence‘s Cathedral; the latter is in the Cathedral itself, on the right of the main entrance, and below it an Italian inscription reads as follows: “…PIETRO ISPANO LO QUAL GIU’ LUCE IN DODICI LIBELLI (Dante, PAR. XII, 134-35)”.
