Hospital Central De La Cruz Roja San Jose Y Santa Adela

The main hospital of the Spanish Red Cross, the Hospital Central de la Cruz Roja San José y Santa Adela, can be seen in Madrid (Avenida Reina Victoria 22 -26). The original building was erected between 1893 and 1908; after the solution of a financial crisis, the new hospital started to work in 1913. During the 1950s the new Pabellón Reina Victoria was added to the original structure1.

In front of the hospital a beautiful monument to noblewoman, benefactress and nurse Eladia Fernández-Espartero y Blanco can be admired.
