This bronze bas-relief of Alexandre Yersin can be seen in the internal courtyard of the Gymnases Cantonaux (Gymnasium de la Cité – Ancienne Academie) in Lausanne (Rue Cité-Devant, 7). Yersin studied in this school from 1883 to 1887. The monument was unveiled in 1943 on the initiative of the students’ association Stella Valdensis of which Yersin was an active member.
