This papier-mâché Japanese Acupuncture figure was bought before 1936 for the collection of Henry Wellcome and is now displayed in the Medicine Man exhibition gallery of The Wellcome Building, in London.
It was a teaching aid with acupuncture pressure points and meridians carefully labeled.
