This marble funeral tablet to the memory of William Hunter can be found inside St James’s Church, Piccadilly, in London (197 Piccadilly), at the right hand.
The English incription reads as follows: “SACRED / TO THE MEMORY OF / WILLIAM HUNTER, M.D., F.R.S., / CELEBRATED AS A PHYSICIAN / AND PHYSIOLOGIST. / BORN AT KILBRIDE, IN LANARKSHIRE / MAY23 1718, / DIED IN LONDON, MARCH 30TH 1783″.
