This marble bust of Luigi Vaccà can be seen in the central seat of the University of Modena (Via dell’Università, 4). Under the bust, a memorial tablet with the following italian inscription: “LUIGI VACCA’ / NEL 1838 LAUREATO IN QUESTO ATENEO / DUE ANNI DOPO E PER OLTRE OTTO LUSTRI / PROFESSORE DI MATERIA MEDICA / DAL 1859 PER UN TRENTENNIO / RETTORE”1.
