Philippe Pinel Demonstration Skull

This anatomical demonstration skull (crâne de démonstration) belonged to Philippe Pinel who used it in 1796 for his lessons on brain’s anatomy. The real skull contains a papier-mache model of the brain1. Currently it can be seen in the Musée d’Histoire de la Médecine of the Université Paris Descartes, Paris.
