St Luke Healing the Dropsical Child by Giovanni Lanfranco C

This unusual representation of Saint Luke acting as a physician, painted by Italian artist Giovanni Lanfranco about 1620, can be seen in the National Gallery of Ancient Art of Palazzo Barberini, Rome (via delle Quattro Fontane, 13). The saint physician is attending a mother and her dropsical child.
