Thomas Guy’s Monument

A bronze monument of Thomas Guy, the founder of Guy’s Hospital, in London, can be found in the middle of the main courtyard of the old part of the hospital.

On the basament, an English inscription reads as follows: “THOMAS GUY / SOLE FOUNDER / OF THIS / HOSPITAL / IN HIS / LIFETIME / A.D. MDCCXXI”.
