Transfusion De Sang De Chevre 1892 by Jules Adler

This oil on canvas representing a blood transfusion from a goat by French painter Jules Adler was displayed in Paris at the Salon des artistes français in 1892. The painting can be admired near the entrance to the Musée d’Histoire de la Médecine at the Descartes University in Paris.

This dangerous and ineffective method was used for a while against tuberculosis1.
