Two Plague Victim Girls Tombstone

This beautiful and moving funeral monument remembers two girls of a noble family, Beatrice and Lavinia Ponzetti, died of plague on the same day in December 1505, when respectively six and eight years old. The monument can be seen on the left wall inside the church of Santa Maria della Pace in Rome (via della Pace).
