This memorial tablet of Joseph Récamier can be seen along the left open gallery on the first floor of the Hôtel-Dieu in Paris. The French inscription lists and ranks over time some instrumental and surgical innovations made by Recamier such as vaginal speculum (1801-1819), hysterectomy (1829), curettage (1833) etc.
