Galileo Galilei‘s plaster bust can be seen at the bottom left side of the lecture hall of the Istituto Chimico Giacomo Ciamician, in Bologna. The bust is located near the main desk. The author is unkonwn. The bust is in this room since 1925, the lecture hall’s inauguration year. On the opposite side of the lecture hall there is another bust of the renowned chemist Antoine Lavoisier.
