The Hôpital Saint-Pierre in Brussels (Rue Haute, 322) is the main hospital in the downtown of the Belgian capital and it has been enlarged and rebuilt many times from 12th Century – when it was a leprosarium – on. Unfortunately, nothing of the ancient buldings has been preserved. Today, only a little part of the 1930s buildings by architect Jean-Baptiste Dewin (1873-1948) can still be seen, as well as some monuments dedicated to two famous surgeons of the hospital: Antoine Depage and Louis Seutin1.
