These two old pavilions of the Bicêtre Hospital in Paris are named after Guillaume Ferrus, a psychiatrist – pupil of Philippe Pinel – who spent most of his professional life in this hospital, pushing – along with his teacher and Jean-Étienne Dominique Esquirol – for the reform of mental institutions.
