Giovannina Franchi possibly was born, but surely spent her earliest years, in this house of Camnago, near Como (via Vincenzo Franchi, 8). A memorial tablet on the facade remembers her accomplishments as Founder of the Nursing Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows and of the Ospedale Valduce in Como.
