As remembered in the almost illegible memorial tablet on the facade, the family house of Giovanni Battista Morgagni stood in this alley of Forlì (via Missirini): “QUI / DOVE TROVO’ / POCHI AVANZI DELLA CASA / DI / G . B. MORGAGNI / IL MUNICIPIO / Q[uesta] . M[emoria] . P[ose]. / 1873”.
Let us hope for a quick restoration of the existing house (and of the memorial tablet!). As a matter of fact, the houses of the Father of Pathological Anatomy are not duly preserved (see also the one in Padua).
